Counseling Center Crisis Care Services
(Available 24/7)
The Counseling Center provides crisis services to UCI students experiencing personal crises or critical incidents and to any UCI community member who is seriously concerned about a student.
Some examples of crises include, but are not limited to the following:
- Having thoughts of harming self or others
- Feeling unable to function
- Experiencing a recent traumatic event
- Recent death of a family member, companion, or other significant person
The Crisis Care provider will work with the student to form a plan to manage the urgent situation. When a UCI community member is seriously concerns about a student, the Crisis Care provider will consult to provide information or develop a plan about handling the situation.
